So I’ve been itching to give watercolours a go for literally years and just never got around to it until just the other day…

I wanted to do a little illustration for my baby shower invites, and it felt like the perfect excuse to buy a mini set of paints and give it a go… Uh! I LOVE working with them! I think there shall be more watercolour illustrations in the future…

They may just be the perfect medium to combine with a little baby too as the paint dries so well and can be returned to easily too in the little pockets of free time I hope to discover in my days.

I’d like to do more illustration work in general and so maybe maybe baby will get me into gear…

interesting… I don’t see why it has to be till 35, but I 100% love the phrase ‘CREATE YOUR REASON’ I think that shall become one of my new mantras… hmmm…

Stumbled upon a ‘rainbow eucalyptus’ today. They’re completely natural and as ever with the natural realm… startling & amazing!

As the bark peels off at different rates & times, so different colours are seen and the rainbow effect is formed. “Nature’s brushstrokes” as somebody stated so beautifully… I can’t believe it’s really real…

So the other day I had the literal surprise and intrinsically exciting pleasure of looking up and noticing that a tree near where I was, was a kind of flowering gum (the tree I’m painting in the baby’s room) and it was blooming too!!! (hehe okay, so that’s as exciting as my life is at the moment ;)

This tree’s blooms were tiny little delicate bursts and I was captivated for a good half hour beneath it, my phone pointed towards all its angles…

The painting continues, as does the baby purchasing (pram, chair, bath etc.) it’s getting close!!! Painting a hedgehog on the wall right now… and wishing I could do it lying on my belly - ah the cruel irony of wishing that with a bub inside…

Dear me!!

I’m disappearing a lot lately. Sorry Visionaries, I’m chasing my tail and imagine this will continue if not get a little worse with baby on the way.

Don’t worry I will pop by from time to time with delicious treasures and moments as they are discovered… perhaps you could do the same with the ‘popping’… here and there to say hello.

So much to do and time is literally slipping through my fingers… as I grow I seem to get a tad more stressed too - eeek.

On another note a wondrously lovely friend came to visit Sydney this week so I got to take a mini break of a day and even visit the zoo! We spotted this beauty there - does anyone know what it’s called?
