This year I had a sudden panic.
I think it was partly due to the fact that I haven’t achieved NEARLY what I’d planned on doing - professionally - the whole year seems to have been stolen by illness/travels/moving house etc. And then, I confess, it’s partly due to the fact that I may try to have children soon, which again, will delay or interrupt career plans… and so suddenly I needed to do various things…
1. I needed to work, and make money to get us to africa - check!
2. I needed to go into an office, which, goodness knows, I’ve had NO inclination to do in years, but suddenly I felt I may be missing out - check!
& 3. I had always wanted to teach design! And what if I ran out of time????!
My friend, kindly reminded me that if you have a baby you don’t die - hehehe - which I think was how I was acting - but that aside, the panic gave me the motivation to go out there and get a teaching job, which I am currently - so far…. - really enjoying! (hooray!)
In fact, I’m getting all inspired! The people are lovely, the location fantastic, and the content we have to teach - delicious! Have I won the job lottery? Maybe?! *nervously waits for reality to kick in*
Anyhow, in my travels of searching for student inspiration I am coming across truly GORGEOUS vintage magazine covers - did I say I’m teaching Magazine design? - eeeeek!!
Here are some GORGEOUS Bazaar covers I stumbled upon - sigh…
Bazaar, can you do covers like these again…?

thea.
