When I was a little girl we had a few sets of encyclopedias on the bookshelves in our family room. (We’ve always been a bookish family :)
We’d use the encyclopedia sets mostly for school projects, (do you remember doing that? Good old Brittanica :) but I remember personally, loving them most on weekend evenings and in the holidays where I’d have time to get them off the shelf & pour over their amazing pictures. (Yes sadly, it was never about the facts for me, all about the pictures… still is ;)
I remember I’d open the Nature series(they were my favourites), and there were a few about the stars and the planets (whole books!!) that would have me spell-bound for hours…
Well, tonight, I was taken back almost immediately to those moments, as I sat in awe, gaping at these beautiful breath-taking captures of our crazy beautiful planet.
Isn’t it just miraculous?Plus, a beautiful way to finish the last few hours of the week :)
