Okay, so after all the hoo haa, and the accolades and the chatting and the considering and the rejecting and the curiosity I began to feel ever so slightly creeping up on me, I finally broke down and read ‘eat pray love’.
My friend liz (a very wise lady) said that it’s the kind of book that you either love or hate, and I’d so prepared myself for the snobbery of superiority of hating it, and, very dissappointingly can tell you that actually… I kinda liked it!
Saved by completely juicy snippets of facts on life, culture, history, & theology, ‘eat pray love’ was a beautiful journey to go on with elizabeth g. There were many times when I nodded knowingly, shook my head, tut tutted, chuckled out loud, and stopped to ponder… If anything I recommend it as a read to help you consider your perspective on things… what the story is behind it all…
to going deeper…
let’s raise our glasses to that, shall we?
I don’t want to give anything away, except to say that I liked it. Looking forward to reading her confused and over analylising voice (much like the voice in my own head) on the ‘M’ topic in committed…
Hope you guys had a beautiful day…
thea.
